Welcome to Bioinformatics @ IPK Gatersleben, our web site to access information about bioinformatics groups, research activities, accessable databases and analysis tools at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) Gatersleben.
Initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) framework of Bioinformatics Competence Centers in 2002-2007, a diverse and proficient bioinformatics presence has been established at the IPK Gatersleben. Bioinformatics @ IPK Gatersleben now comprises five research groups covering a wide range of aspects of integrative bioinformatics and systems biology in general and plant bioinformatics in particular. State-of-the-art computational techniques enable the detailed representation and analysis of data ranging from high-throughput molecular biological experiments to phenotypical and environmental data. We are involved in a wide range of local, national and international research projects and information networks as well as in Bioinformatics education at universities in the region.
I invite you to browse our web site and learn more about bioinformatics and systems biology at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) Gatersleben. Thank you for visiting this web site, and please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of any service to you.
